Chapters Are Now Posted On Our Website !

Many Projects And Challenges Are On The Horizon

Today we went live with our first wave of confirmed chapters on the ACT! for America website. Go to http://www.actforamerica.org/chapter-information-page/ to see if there is a confirmed chapter in your area.

A "confirmed chapter" is one where the chapter leader has returned a signed Chapter Affiliation Agreement to us. As we get Chapter Affiliation Agreements returned to us from others who have signed up to be chapter leaders, we will be adding chapters to the website on a weekly basis. So if you don't see a chapter in your area yet, check the website every week or so to see if a new one has been added.

This is a giant step forward in the fulfillment of the vision Brigitte Gabriel has had for five years! We are marrying the power of locally organized chapters with the power of Internet communication to create the only nationwide grassroots citizen action network devoted to rolling back the tide of Islamofascism - in whatever form it takes.

On the chapter front, we have already seen some of our new chapter leaders making a difference in their local communities - as well as providing us valuable information to pass along to you.

On the internet front, recent efforts by our blogger, Jerry Gordon, have helped raise awareness of the sacking of Stephen Coughlin and stirred up support for a congressional investigation into what led to Coughlin's firing. We sent an email out last week with some background on Coughlin's firing, which has all the appearance of political correctness at work to silence the truth about Islam and jihad that the Pentagon needs to hear.

And after we contacted PalTalk and asked them to ignore any Muslim petition demanding that an anti-Islamist chat room be shut down, PalTalk responded by asserting they will not give in to such efforts to silence constitutionally protected free speech.

Now we are looking ahead to significant projects and challenges this year in which we will combine the efforts of people on the ground in our local chapters with the efforts of the tens of thousands of you who we are in contact with online.

The most immediate project is the legislation in New York that has been introduced to protect authors, speakers and publishers from lawsuits that are being filed in foreign countries. The catalyst for the legislation is the lawsuit that a wealthy Saudi filed in British courts against our friend and American Congress for Truth Advisory Board Member Rachel Ehrenfeld. In a few days we will be announcing our action plan to help get this legislation passed.

Other projects on the horizon for this year include:

• An effort to shut down terrorist chat rooms being hosted by American internet service providers. Such chat rooms violate federal law.
• Introduction of key pieces of legislation in Congress, which will be followed by a national grassroots lobbying effort.
• Distribution of voting records of Members of Congress on issues relating to national security and Islamic terrorism.
• Regional grassroots training seminars, in which we in the leadership of ACT! for America will provide you valuable education on how to effectively communicate, persuade others, and get results with your efforts.

We believe that education and information is essential to winning the war against Islamofascism, and many of you can attest to the valuable resources that have been provided for years now through our sister organization, American Congress for Truth, an education and research organization. Perhaps you saw yesterday's email from American Congress for Truth about the middle school textbook that teaches a gross distortion of what "jihad" is.

We're not about wishing for a safer America, or hoping for a safer America, or waiting for someone else to make America safer for us.

We're about ACTING to make America safer and more secure.

Because it's going to take ACTION to get a new law passed in New York, and then get a similar law passed in Congress.

It's going to take ACTION to shut down unlawful terrorist chat rooms hosted by Internet providers on American soil.

It's going to take ACTION to convince elected officials that they need to listen to us, and not the voices of political correctness who are intent on whitewashing the truth about militant Islam or the advance of Cultural Jihad in America.
