Yesterday Kelly Cook, our National Field Director, received this note from a firefighter in New Jersey named Jaime, who has just recently started an ACT! for America chapter.
September 11, 2001 brought the brotherhood of firefighters around the country even closer together. All of us, whether part of the FDNY or not, took the events of that day so very personally. The next day, I wept as I viewed the huge hole in the skyline of lower Manhattan on my commute. Many of us had lost friends and family members in the destruction. Some of us joined in the tearful aftermath searching for survivors. Others suffered silently as we prayed for the souls of so many heroes we didn't even know. But around the country the community of firefighters was one in mourning for its unfathomable loss.
As a former chief and 23 year veteran of the fire service, I have felt totally powerless to do anything positive about the events of that day. That is until now. Along with a handful of brother firefighters and neighbors, I recently formed a chapter of ACT! for America. At last, I have the opportunity to be part of resetting the course of this great country- to see that we now face our enemy wide eyed and head on--- right here in America, and that we no longer continue to stick our heads in the sand. My brother firefighters and other patriots in our area have joined together, determined to rid America of the smoldering scourge of Islamofacism.
Thank God for the wisdom and patriotism of Brigitte Gabriel and ACT! for America, which we are now a functioning part of. The alarm has sounded, and we are responding. And together we will WAKE UP AMERICA!

Two nights ago, Brigitte and I spoke at an ACT! for America event hosted by several of our chapters in southern California. Over 350 people attended.

At the end of the event, one man came up to me and told me how he had seen "Obsession" about 18 months ago. "The film woke me up!" he said.
But then he added this: "Since I saw the film, I've been asking myself, 'what can I do about this?' The more I understand the threat, the more anxious I have become, wondering what I can do to help stop it."
"Tonight, I got the answer. Thank you."
I wish you could have seen the look on his face, the look of enthusiastic hope I saw.
