Sexual Predators Belong Behind Bars, Not in the Classrooms!
Time to move high-priority bills HB 1097 and HB 1255 from committee and force swift passage to protect our kids from unchecked sexual predation in our public schools!
Reportedly, Texas schools sexual assault records for just the last 3 years include:
-6,654 cases of alleged sexual misconduct remain unresolved, meaning potential predators are still in classrooms.
-52,782 total complaints against Texas educators have been recorded.
-44,349 educators were flagged as Do Not Hire, yet enforcement actions remain inconsistent or nonexistent.
-38,778 cases were reported but never formally opened for investigation, raising serious questions about the TEA’s responsiveness.
This systemic failure allows alleged predators to remain in Texas classrooms, unchecked and uninvestigated—a direct violation of Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) legal obligations.
Help us break out high-priority bills HB 1097 and HB 1255 from committee and force swift passage to protect our kids from unchecked sexual predation in our public schools!
Call on State Lawmakers to move these bills out of committee and on to the floor for a vote!
